Union Engine 1 and Rescue 5 Responded Mutual aid with East Seneca to a House Fire on Schultz Road. Crews arrived to find a well involved fire, concentrated on the #3 side of the structure. Crews attempted to make a push on the 2nd floor when roof compromise and partial roof collapse forced them out. Firefighters attempted to ladder the building in effort to make progress, however structural compromise of the #1 side wall forced crews to back out and remove the ladders. 2 Master Streams were placed in operation. Exterior operations extinguished the fire however due to structural compromise, the 2nd floor collapsed into the first floor shortly after the fire was under control. No Firefighter injuries were reported. Union Engine 1 supplied Manpower and Relayed water to Seneca Hose 6 for master stream operation. Rescue 5 Provided additional manpower. Union units were back in service after 2 hours.
