West Seneca Swiftwater & Flood Rescue Team Technicians from Union Fire Company, Winchester Fire Company, Seneca Hose Company #1, and Vigilant Fire Company, WS provided in-water safety coverage at the Special Olympics Buffalo Corporate Polar Plunge on Thursday 12/4 and the Cool Schools Polar Plunges on Friday 12/5. The Cool Schools plunge had over 1,000 plungers alone. Student teams from all over WNY did awesome and braved rough lake conditions to raise money for a great cause. A special shout out to the One West Seneca Unified school team who raised over $12,500 this year and the West Seneca First Responders Team who plunged Saturday 12/6 and raised $2,770 this year. We were honored to be part of the Special Olympics Polar Plunge events again this year!
