Union Held a small ceremony to swear in the Truckroom and Company Officers of 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a much smaller ceremony took place than normal. Officers were sworn in during the monthly Company Business Meeting. Much took place last year that deserves celebration, however due to the ongoing pandemic, the decision to postpone the celebration was the only way to safely proceed.
Chief Monson delivered his Chiefs report of 2020, which included congratulations to many Firefighters for their hard work and dedication during this trying year. Chief Monson made a point to say that even with the pandemic, and a 3-month training freeze, the amount of training and classes completed in 2020 was outstanding. Firefighters completed such NYS courses as Principles of Instruction, Fire Officer I, Rescue Tech - Basic, BEFO/IFO, Safety Officer, Firefighter Survival, and NYS EMT-Basic. Union Participated in 7 live-fire trainings, held 50 Drills, and over 150 Details, on top of responding to 814 Calls.
