Union Hosted a Rescue Technician - Basic Class this past Fall. Several Firefighters from Union Completed the 24 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction. Union was joined by Firefighters from several other companies in Erie County, as well as a member of Erie County Sheriff SWAT. Instruction was led by State Fire Instructor Myers.
Rescue Technician - Basic focuses on rope work, rigging, low angle rescue, and prepares students for more advanced courses such as Rescue Technician - Operations. Rescue Tech also benefits our many members of the West Seneca Water Rescue Team who use ropes often in rescue and recovery operations.
