We Are Here For You.

In these different and difficult times, the members of Union Fire Company, West Seneca Fire District #2 and the other West Seneca fire companies would like you to know we are here for you. We Think it is important to share some changes you may see, in the event you need emergency medical assistance. During medical emergencies our first-arriving members are going to look a bit different than they normally would. Our responders will be wearing masks, gloves, eye protection and other protective equipment before entering your home. For now, you will see this on all medical and assistance calls. This is to protect you, our responders and our families from potential COVID-19 exposure. Our responders wearing this gear can be alarming to some. Don't worry it is our new normal for every medical call.
During medical emergencies we will also initially limit the number of responders who enter your home, and the responder may ask you or your family members some very important questions. These questions help us determine which medical response resources are needed to help ensure you get the best care.
You may also see different emergency apparatus than you would normally see on a medical call, especially during the day. This may include a fire engine or ladder truck. Don't worry, this different response is all part of a coordinated effort by our six West Seneca fire districts to protect you, our community and our first responders during this State of Emergency.
Lastly, In times like these we are often asked by the public what they can do to help. Right now, we ask you to follow the NYS and Erie County Department of Health guidelines. HELP STOP THE SPREAD. In the future, we ask you consider joining your local West Seneca fire company. We can always use new members to assist in normal times and difficult times like these. If you are interested in joining your local fire company, please contact Union Fire Company at 668-2828 or click on the "Recruitment" tab above. If you live in an area outside our district, we will be sure to get you in contact with the fire company that serves you.
